Like a chef’s knife, the Japanese santoku is a multipurpose knife used for just about every cutting job in the kitchen. The name means “three virtues.” This refers either to the three types of foods it works especially well with—vegetables, proteins, and fruit, or for the three types of cuts at which it excels: slicing, dicing, and chopping. Slightly shorter than the standard chef's knife, a santoku is very easy to maneuver—even in a smaller kitchen. There's just enough belly curve to enable rocking cuts, which enhances the knife's versatility. This distinctive piece of kitchen cutlery performs beautifully and you'll find that the new blonde Pakkawood handles fit your hand like a comfortable glove.
The Shun Classic Blonde series features our 69-layer Damascus-clad blades and PakkaWood handles in a light and beautiful natural wood tone. Yet behind these handcrafted knives' beauty is top function. Shun's proprietary high-performance VG-MAX steel forms the cutting core of the blade and holds its razor-sharp edge longer. The core is clad with 68 micro layers of Damascus stainless steel, then ground and bead-blasted, revealing the flowing pattern of the layered steel. The result is a line of knives that is ultra-sharp, durable, and corrosion resistant, as well as simply magnificent to behold.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) request within 30 days of the receipt of the product.
All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee, all products returned must be packed in the original packaging, including any accessories, manuals, documentation and registration that shipped with the product.
Please note that we do not permit the return of the following products:
1. Special orders and products that are custom configured to your specifications.
2. Products sold "as is" or "used" or that have been installed or used after receipt.
NOTE: We recommend that you use a carrier that offers shipment tracking for all returns, and either insure your package for safe return or declare the full value of the shipment so that you are protected if the shipment is lost or damaged in transit. If you chose not to use a carrier that offers tracking and insure or declare the full value of the product, you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the product during shipping.
The United States Postal Service (USPS) offers limited tracking capabilities and that there is a 30-calendar-day waiting period before USPS will initiate a trace. The customer is responsible for shipping charges both ways on returns, as well as for shipping charges on shipments that are refused.
ORDER FULFILLMENT
All orders are shipped promptly from our warehouse or in-store inventory within 3 - 10 business days** using UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Tracking numbers are available for items shipped via UPS and FedEx. **Pending availability of the item/s.

Our online inventory changes every day. Occasionally an item may appear on the site by mistake or the item's description may contain a typographical error. We do not guarantee that titles, descriptions, pictures or prices on our site are error-free. In the event that we cancel an order we will not charge the customer's credit card or we will refund the money.

Availability, Order Status, & In-Store Pick Up

When placing your order for In-Store Pick Up, add your home address to the shipping field to enable the option for In-Store Pick Up as the shipping method.
Any Order set to in-store pick-up must be retrieved within 30 days of order confirmation and order status updated to "awaiting pickup" or the order may be canceled and the items returned to available inventory.

Once your order is placed the status of the order will change based on the status:
