Nakiri is simply Japanese for "vegetable knife." The first thing you'll notice about the knife is the blade shape. Not only does it look beautiful, but it also serves as a practical tool for professional and home chefs around the world. The Nakiri's blunt tip makes the knife safer to use. At the same time, you can easily process vegetables with blade's slicing and dicing power. Simply use a push cut by moving the knife down and forward while keeping the edge parallel to the cutting surface. If you love vegetables for salad or stir fry, then the Dual Core Nakiri is a must have.
About the Shun Dual Core series: Until now, it was considered almost impossible to create layered Damascus from two premium-quality stainless steels. But what was impossible is now a reality—and Shun is proud to bring it to your kitchen. The Shun Dual Core series features a Damascus blade made from two premium-quality, high-carbon stainless steels. Seventy-one alternating micro layers of high carbon, high chromium VG10 and VG2 stainless steels are roll-forged to produce a finer grain in the steel and to give it both strength and beauty. The laminated steel is then hot forged to create the herringbone pattern that allows the layers to alternate along the cutting edge. During normal use, the two steels will wear at different rates creating micro serrations along the edge so that the Dual Core’s extremely sharp edge feels sharp longer. Etched laminations in the blade reduce drag, helping food release from the blade and gliding through each cut quickly and easily. Dual Core blades are thin, light, and strong. Traditional Japanese octagon-shaped handles in ebony PakkaWood provide a comfortable and secure grip to complete the look of these beautiful knives.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) request within 30 days of the receipt of the product.
All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee, all products returned must be packed in the original packaging, including any accessories, manuals, documentation and registration that shipped with the product.
Please note that we do not permit the return of the following products:
1. Special orders and products that are custom configured to your specifications.
2. Products sold "as is" or "used" or that have been installed or used after receipt.
NOTE: We recommend that you use a carrier that offers shipment tracking for all returns, and either insure your package for safe return or declare the full value of the shipment so that you are protected if the shipment is lost or damaged in transit. If you chose not to use a carrier that offers tracking and insure or declare the full value of the product, you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the product during shipping.
The United States Postal Service (USPS) offers limited tracking capabilities and that there is a 30-calendar-day waiting period before USPS will initiate a trace. The customer is responsible for shipping charges both ways on returns, as well as for shipping charges on shipments that are refused.
ORDER FULFILLMENT
All orders are shipped promptly from our warehouse or in-store inventory within 3 - 10 business days** using UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Tracking numbers are available for items shipped via UPS and FedEx. **Pending availability of the item/s.

Our online inventory changes every day. Occasionally an item may appear on the site by mistake or the item's description may contain a typographical error. We do not guarantee that titles, descriptions, pictures or prices on our site are error-free. We reserve the right to refuse any order including but not limited to orders for items with errors in the description or price. In the event that we cancel an order we will not charge the customer's credit card or we will refund the money.
If an item's description contains an error such as incorrect photo, price, accessory or description and a customer makes the order, we will not process the order without first contacting the customer. If the order is mistakenly shipped, we may advise the customer to return the item in an unopened condition and we will refund the customer. Availability, Order Status, & In-Store Pick Up

When placing your order for In-Store Pick Up, add your home address to the shipping field to enable the option for In-Store Pick Up as the shipping method.
Any Order set to in-store pick-up must be retrieved within 30 days of order confirmation and order status updated to "awaiting pickup" or the order may be canceled and the items returned to available inventory.
Order Statuses:
Once your order is placed the status of the order will change based on the status:
